in_article_d31266021a

Come and understand why the Catholic Church considers masturbation, homosexual activity, fornication (pre marital sex) and adultery (extra marital sex), and contraception as mortal sins. Why a non consummated marriage can be dissolved, and why civilly remarried divorced Catholics cannot receive Holy Communion. These and other questions on sexuality will be answered in this talk, based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Theology of the Body and the Natural Law.

Date / Time: 25 August 2017 / 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm

Venue: St Joseph’s Church, Victoria Street, Conference Room

Considered by many to be the most controversial moral teaching of the Catholic Church today. Come and learn what is the significance of this teaching and how its rejection laid the basis for the gender ideology and the sexual revolution that engulfed the world. Pope St John Paul II described his Theology of the Body as the explanation and the defence of the teaching in Humanae Vitae. Pope Francis in Amoris Laetitia said that that is the only true way to live sexuality in the conjugal union.
